Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is an undergraduate degree program in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. The program divided into 3 professionals over the course of 5 years and 6 months, including a one-year internship. Students learn about the principles of Ayurveda, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and various diagnostic and treatment methods. The curriculum also includes modern medical subjects to provide a comprehensive understanding of healthcare. Some of the subjects in BAMS are- Padartha Vigyan, Ayurved Itihas, Dravyaguna Vigyan, and Maulik Siddhant Avum Ashtang Hridaya. Upon completion, graduates are qualified to practice as Ayurvedic doctors in India and can work in hospitals, clinics, or private practice. The degree is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).

Ayurveda has a broad scope that encompasses various aspects of health & medicine. The scope of Ayurveda in healthcare is diverse & expanding. Students pursuing Ayurvedic studies have various career options. The BAMS degree qualifies a candidate for private practice as well as for jobs in Govt. sector. With changing era, the preferences of types of jobs amongst youth is also evolving. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:
Candidate should have passed (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with 50% marks and must have qualified NEET entrance examination.

Fee Payment Provisions

Important terms and timelines for annual tuition fee deposit (Session 2026–27)

Annual Basis & 1st Year Deposit

The tuition fee shall be determined and collected by the Institution on an annual basis. Every student admitted in the academic session 2026–27 shall be required to deposit the prescribed tuition fee for the First Year in full at the time of admission, within the time limit prescribed by the Institution. The admission of a student shall be deemed complete and effective only upon payment of the prescribed fee and all other applicable dues in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Institution.

Subsequent & Final Year Schedule

After completion of the First Year, the prescribed annual tuition fee for the Second Year, Third Year and Fourth Year, as well as the prescribed tuition fee for the six-month period of the Final Year, shall mandatorily be deposited in advance in each respective academic year as prescribed.

Late Payment & Defaulter Rules

In the event of failure to deposit the prescribed fee, the student shall be treated as a Fee Defaulter. Any payment made after the prescribed due date shall be subject to such late fee, penal charges and/or other applicable dues as may be prescribed by the Institution from time to time, which shall be payable by the student in addition to the outstanding tuition fee.

Hostel Accommodation (Optional)

It is not mandatory for students to reside in the Institution's hostel. Students may choose to avail themselves of hostel accommodation as per their requirement and convenience.

Fees Refund Policy

Institutional regulations regarding counselling seat upgradation and admission cancellation

Option 1

Round 1 to Round 2 Counselling Upgradation

If a candidate, after taking admission against the seat allotted in the First Round of Counselling, participates in the Second Round of Counselling and his/her seat is upgraded, the candidate shall be required to personally visit the Institution and inform the Institution regarding such seat upgradation. Upon receipt of such information, an amount of ₹5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) shall be deducted from the fee deposited by the candidate towards administrative charges, and the remaining eligible amount shall be refunded to the candidate in accordance with the applicable rules and the Institution's fee refund policy.

Option 2

Second Round to Mop-Up Round Counselling Upgradation

If a candidate seeks seat upgradation from the Second Round of Counselling to the Mop-Up Round of Counseling, prior NOC from the Principal is mandatory. Upon obtaining the NOC, ₹50,000/- (Fifty Thousand only) shall be deducted from the deposited fee, and the balance eligible amount shall be refunded as per the applicable rules.

Critical Notice: Participation in the Mop-Up Round and Further Round of Counselling without prior NOC shall result in forfeiture of the entire deposited fee, and no refund shall be admissible.

Option 3

Admission Cancellation After Final Round / Cut-off Date

After the Final Round of Counselling or the last date of admission (Cut-off Date Decided by NCISM) prescribed by the Government of India or the Competent Authority, if a candidate wishes to cancel his/her admission for any reason whatsoever, the candidate shall be required to deposit the prescribed tuition fee for the entire course duration of 04 years and 06 months as a pre-condition for consideration and approval of the admission cancellation request. The admission cancellation request shall be considered only after full payment of the outstanding tuition fee.
